The logo is meant to represent the spiritual arising out of the physical.

• In the first place, it can be regarded as the Greek letter psi. This is the symbol used by physicists to denote the quantum mechanical wave function embodying all information concerning the state of the physical system.
• Secondly, it can be interpreted as a figure with arms aloft in prayer. This is a universally recognised attitude of worship and adoration (whereas hands held together might be regarded as especially Christian, or prostration on the ground as Muslim).
• Those people of no religious affiliation might alternatively interpret the figure as someone in an attitude of awe and wonder at the cosmos rather than addressing the Deity.
• Christians might see in the figure that of Christ on the cross.
• Finally, one might regard the figure as being someone holding open their arms in an act of welcome, signifying that the Forum embraces all people of whatever religion, or none.
